Another night at THE KENNEDY CENTER

Every time I perform at Kennedy Center with the Michael W. Smith Orchestra, I honestly have to pinch myself. No matter how many times I have walked onto that stage, it never feels routine.

There’s something deeply spiritual about being in that space and making music together. It’s not just about the notes—it’s about community, intention the powerful energy of music to bring us together. Playing alongside musicians who bring both excellence and faith into the work makes the experience feel grounding and meaningful.

In those moments, the music feels bigger than performance. It becomes a quiet act of gratitude and reflection. I never take it for granted, and I always leave reminded of why music matters so much to me in the first place.
