Old friends DC

DC really is such a small town. I was invited to a gala for EMILY’s List and ran into a friend of more than 20 years—Jamarr—an incredible strategist, a Politico pro, and someone I’ve known since before college. Moments like that remind me there’s a certain magic in Washington: paths crossing again and again, relationships deepening over time, and communities—arts, policy, advocacy—overlapping in meaningful ways. It’s one of the things that makes this city special year after year.
